How does automation technology continue to make its way into medium-sized companies (SME)? Ferrobotics CEO Dr. Ronald Naderer has a very specific idea and the appropriate product. The Austrian based company with its active contact flange ACF enables the dosing of robotic force, this concept held  up so well that Naderer's team now expands the development by another facet that is once again very SME-friendly and suitable for Cobots; called the "ACF-Kit". Using a quick-release mechanism, individual tools, which can cover a wide range of different applications, can be mounted within seconds. Cobots are special small robots for the needs of flexible production, i.e. for small lot sizes.

They impress with simple programming, easyassembly and ready-to-use end-of-arm tool solutions, such as welding and handling, as well as increasing demand for grinding. Typical areas of application are angle grinding for weld seam finish or random orbital sanding for paint conditioning. "This enables companies to be very flexible," says Naderer, who schedules the market launch of this solution in the next few weeks and expects demand, especially from medium-sized metalwork companies and the wood industry.
