LGVs (Laser Guided Vehicles) are one of the core products of Elettric80. Our LGVs are not automated forklift trucks (FLTs), but precision machines designed from the start to finish for reliability and safety necessary in an industrial automated system.
One of the differences between Elettric 80 and other players in the industry is that we focus on high volume consumer products giving our engineers a better opportunity to improve our LGVs for the specific tasks in our key businesses.
By not changing between applications in non-related industries (food, automotive, steel mills, etc.), makes it possible for our organization to gain better knowledge of our customers processes and to refine our machines, controls and systems. It also makes it easier for us to improve our Customer Care with a bigger, focused organization complete with knowledge of the technology we provide.
Lately many of our customers have full material flow automation as target, meaning - no manual forklifts. To achieve this we have developed a number of base design LGVs to handle not only finished goods but also the materials needed for the production lines.
All components and systems in our LGVs are state of the art. This applies to the controls, safety devices, energy systems, mechanical design, HMI, wheel configurations and lifts. Our different base designs share many of the same components.
This strategy along with deliberately buying the "best available" components has proven to reduce cost for our customers and ourselves in terms of total cost of ownership and system reliability.
